Lucas van Leyden Patronage
Lucas van Leyden Patronage, Leiden
Museum De Lakenhal is the jewel in the crown of Leiden, as well as being the city’s art museum. It is also desperately in need of restoration and extension. The Leiden municipal council has set aside a substantial sum for this purpose, but supplementary funds are also needed.
Together with director Meta Knol, Roosmarijn compiled a fundraising plan to raise additional money from various funds, sponsors and private individuals. The existing Lucas van Leyden Mecenaat (Patronage) was redesigned and in March 2011 it was re-launched under the leadership of chairman Elco Brinkman. Other board members are: Haro Schultz van Haegen (treasurer), Sylvia den Engelsen (secretary), Ton van Raan, Jeroen Maters and Michiel Scheltema. The LLM strives to establish sustainable links between De Lakenhal and philanthropic citizens, a new stylish network in Leiden.
As LLM relationship manager Roosmarijn is responsible for the further design of the patronage. More information on the patronage can be found at www.lakenhal.nl
